PETALING JAYA: A total 29 premises consisting of factories, businesses and construction sites were ordered to close on Tuesday (July 6) for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).
In a statement before his promotion to Deputy Prime Minister on Wednesday (July 7), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said in his capacity as then Senior Minister (Security) that the special task force monitoring SOP compliance had conducted 85,948 inspections and snap checks nationwide.
“Out of this, 29 premises were ordered to close for failing to adhere to the SOP set by the government.
“As previously announced, the government will step up enforcement and carry out more inspections on factories and business premises, as too many of them were found to have violated the government’s orders, as well as the gazetted SOP,” he said.
