PETALING JAYA: An anti-vice raid in Subang Jaya saw the arrest of 14 foreigners including a British man.

Immigration director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud said the raid was conducted on Tuesday (Jan 18) across Subang Jaya.

Two premises harbouring female escorts were raided during an operation, he said.

He added that among the 14 arrested was a British man. Of the 13 women detained, 12 were from Thailand and one from Myanmar.

"Investigations showed that services were offered between RM200 and RM270 for 45 minutes. Outcall services were offered from RM950 from 10pm to 7am,” Khairul Dzaimee said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 19).

The locals, believed to be customers, were also given notices to present themselves to the authorities for statements.

Customers would choose their preferred escorts online through a website or Telegram.

“The suspects were not cooperative during the raid and they refused to open their doors. Some provoked the raiding team and gave various excuses to escape," he added.

Among the offences identified were not having identification documents, overstaying and other infractions under the Immigration Act.

"All have been sent to the Bukit Jalil depot for further investigation,” he said.
