KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia administered 231,733 doses of Covid-19 vaccines on Tuesday.
The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee tweeted yesterday that 147,783 people received their first jabs of the vaccine, while 83,950 completed both doses on June 29.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba, in a tweet yesterday, said a total of 7,824,912 doses of Covid-19 vaccine had been administered to the people nationwide as of Tuesday.
He said the number included 5,610,911 (17.2% of those eligible) first-dose vaccine recipients and 2,214,001 individuals (6.8% of those eligible) who received their second vaccine shot.
He said the five states that recorded the highest number of people who had completed two doses of the vaccine were Selangor with 287,127 recipients, followed by Sarawak (246,259), Johor (233,239), Perak (201,040) and Sabah (188,690). — Bernama
