PUTRAJAYA: Parliament will reconvene before August, de facto law minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has confirmed.
“The Prime Minister, who is the leader of the parliament council, has decided to call for a parliamentary sitting to be held as soon as possible before August 1.
“This will be finalised in the Cabinet meeting on July 7,” said Takiyuddin in a statement on Friday (July 2).
Takiyuddin said the Federal Government constantly upholds the views of the King in all matters related to the country’s administration, including those related to parliamentary proceedings.
On Thursday (July 1), the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had called for the Parliament to reconvene before Aug 1.
