IPOH: Two friends have been found drowned at the Batu Berangkai waterfall in Kampar.

       A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said Muhammad Fikri Adam Azmi and Muhammad Amirul Hafidz Ma'asor, both 20, were declared dead by medical personnel during the incident that occurred at about 10.35am on Tuesday (Feb 15).

       "Both victims and two other friends from Sabak Bernam, Selangor were picnicking by the waterfall prior to the incident.

       "One of the victims was pulled out of the water by members of the public while the second victim was found in 3m of water by firemen at about 11.20am," the spokesman said.

       "The bodies of both victims have been handed over to the police for further action," he added.
