       TAIWANESE-American actress Hannah Quinlivan, who is married to King of Mandopop Jay Chou, revealed that her third pregnancy was a surprise and she had only found out about it after experiencing constipation, reported Sin Chew Daily.

       The 28-year-old told fashion magazine Elle that she had wanted to buy medicine for constipation while on holiday visiting the Lake of Sainte-Croix in France in 2021.

       “When I got to the drug store, the pharmacist asked me: ‘Are you sure you are not pregnant?’

       “I replied, ‘How could I be pregnant?’

       “However, when the test came back, oh my gosh! I was really pregnant!” she said.

       Initially wanting to announce the baby only after its birth, the news leaked after fans noticed how Quinlivan was hiding her tummy in many photos.

       Chou confirmed in March that the couple was expecting their third child soon.

       Quinlivan and Chou have been married for seven years and they have two children, Hathaway, seven, and Romeo, five.

       In the past, Chou had said that he wanted five children of his own and had planned to form a band.

       However, after Quinlivan discovered she had polycystic ovary syndrome, Chou said that he has no plans to have more children so as not to put too much of a strain on his wife’s body.

       The new baby is expected to be a girl.

       > The former husband of Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung, cosmetologist Dr Michael Lai, is expected to be a father soon after his new wife was reported to be five months pregnant, reported China Press.

       Dr Lai posted a photo of himself and his wife (known only as Alice) along with a caption which read: “First time going on holiday with our family of three.”

       When interviewed, Dr Lai confirmed that they are expecting the child in August.

       It was the first time he had posted a photo of his wife’s front profile, though there was a sticker covering her face to maintain her anonymity.

       According to Dr Lai, his previous two marriages had received a lot of media attention so he hoped his latest one will be much lower profile.

       He urged the public to give him and Alice space and wish them well.

       Dr Lai was married to Chung in 2018 but the marriage lasted only 14 months.
