PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian dentistry student has won the prestigious JK Williams Medal for 2020, the first winner in the country's history.
Universiti Malaya (UM) Faculty of Dentistry student Dr Mohd Amir Mukhsin Zurin Adnan won the medal at the recent Membership in Orthodontics Examination, Royal College of Surgeons of England, the university said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (Feb 15).
He will be presented with the award on March 8.
“Congratulations on being the first student from Malaysia to win the medal.
“We wish you further success,” UM said in its post.
The medal is awarded annually to the best candidate at the intercollegiate examination.
