JAKARTA: Indonesia's finance ministry will likely sell some of the bonds that the central bank had agreed to buy by the end of this quarter, with the rest to be sold in the second half of the year, a senior official said on Tuesday.

       The comments were made by the head of the ministry's financing department, Luky Alfirman, during a call with investors.

       Bank Indonesia last year agreed to purchase 224 trillion rupiah ($15.28 billion) of bonds with low interest rates in 2022 to help the government controls its interest payments amid the pandemic
