IPOH: The road leading to Cameron Higlands via Simpang Pulai is closed to traffic after part of a hillslope collapsed.

       The incident is believed to have occurred at about 5.45pm on Saturday (Sept 18) due to continuous downpour.

       In a statement issued by the Public Works Department, it mentioned that Section 43.9 of the federal road was totally closed to traffic leading towards Blue Valley.

       The public are advised to use Tapah Road to head up to the hill station for the time being.

       “The road is closed beginning 9pm on Saturday until further notice,” the statement added.

       According to sources, the incident occurred near the rest area of Simpang Pulai-Blue Valley road.

       The area affected is about 30m.
