SEMENYIH: The Fire and Rescue Department has rescued four children and 15 other people after a landslide along Jalan Genting Peres-Kuala Kelawang here.
In the first operation, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operation centre chief Zulfikar Jaffar said two men were trapped after a landslide caused a tree to topple.
"Both men were rescued at about 1.34am on Monday (Dec 20). One of them suffered a sprained ankle while the other was not injured," he said when contacted on Monday (Dec 20).
Zulfikar said rescuers also saved 17 other individuals aged between five and 54 years old who were affected by the landslide.
"We rescued them at about 5.30am on Monday. They did not suffer any injury," he added.
Zulfikar said rescuers consisted of Bomba, Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team (Storm) and police personnel.
