PONTIAN: Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad is expected to be in a four-cornered fight for the Benut state seat in the Johor state election.

       Hasni of Barisan Nasional (BN) faces Senator Datuk Isa Ab Hamid of Perikatan Nasional (PN), Haniff@Ghazali Hosman of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Iskandar Noor Ibrahim of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang).

       Earlier, Hasni who is also the Johor Barisan chairman, arrived at the nomination centre at 9.05am on Saturday (Feb 26) accompanied by a proposer and a seconder.

       In the 14th General Election, Hasni won the seat against Zulkifly Tasrep from Pakatan with a majority of 4,058.

       Nomination day for the Johor polls is Feb 26, while early voting will be on March 8 and polling falls on March 12.
