KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Resource Transformation Summit (HRTS 2022) in Malaysia will see countries in the Asia Pacific region working together to improve human resource challenges.

According to the Human Resource Development Corp, the summit will address various worker challenges amid the Covid-19 pandemic and find solutions that ensure workers’ welfare while sustaining industry growth.

“HRTS 2022 will be the platform for government representatives to formulate and endorse the Asia HR5.0 G2G (government-to-government) framework as an international guiding document for all HR-related matters affecting the region, moving forward.

“Malaysia will drive the HR5.0 initiative among these countries, focusing on humanising technology to protect job security and employees welfare and benefits,” it said in a statement yesterday.

Scheduled to take place in Malaysia from March 3 to 5, a prelude to the summit was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in conjunction with the 100-Day Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia four-day event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here yesterday.

Besides the HRTS, Ismail Sabri also launched three other events during his visit to KLCC – the MyFutureJobs Satellite Centre’s initiative to have 61 rural community centres nationwide; the MARii tracker for contact tracing, social distancing compliance and location tracking within business premises developed by the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii); and the appreciation awards for caring employers who generated the most number of jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The five employers awarded were KK Supermart and Superstore Sdn Bhd, CIMB Bank, Micron Memory Malaysia, Sony EMCS Malaysia and Scicom MSC.

The 100-Day Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia event and programmes host various exhibitions by the 26 ministries and five agencies under the Prime Minister’s Department.

Malaysians can view and obtain information relating to each ministry at the booths, apart from giving feedback, voicing their aspirations and seeing the various key performance indexes (KPIs) set for each ministry and tracking their current progress.
