KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is out and about, having been spotted at the Botanical Garden here with Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali following his discharge from the National Heart Institute (IJN).

       The former prime minister and his wife were spotted taking a stroll at the park accompanied by safety and health personnel, reported The Vibes.

       In a 1.30-minute video posted on TikTok by @mat_nor99 last Saturday (Feb 5), a group of people could be seen waving and taking pictures of them from a distance away.

       In the comment section of the video, many shared their prayers and well-wishes for the Pejuang chairman, with many some expressing their relief that Dr Mahathir was well.

       On Saturday, the IJN announced that the former prime minister was discharged at 8.40am after being admitted for treatment

       “He shall now continue recuperating at home. He will be having his follow-up treatment as and when required in the future.

       “Tun Dr Mahathir and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali would like to express their thanks to everyone for their concern and doa (prayers) when Tun Dr Mahathir was admitted to the National Heart Institute,” it added in a statement.

       Dr Mahathir was previously admitted to IJN for an elective procedure on Jan 7 and was discharged on Jan 13. He was readmitted for follow-up treatment on Jan 20.
