A car crash in Seat Pleasant, Md., on Sunday left one person dead, officials said.

       The crash occurred about noon in the eastbound lanes of Central Avenue, between Hampton Park Boulevard and the Capital Beltway, according to the Seat Pleasant Police Department.

       Seat Pleasant is a municipality within Prince George’s County. Initial investigations of fatal crashes are conducted by the city police, with the county assuming jurisdiction later.
