PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded a dip in Covid-19 cases on Sunday (Aug 22) with 19,807 new infections reported, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The Health director-general said Selangor still accounted for the most cases with 5,379, followed by Sabah (2,638), Kedah (1,948) and Sarawak (1,772).
In a series of tweets, Dr Noor Hisham added that three localities recorded less than 100 new cases - Perlis with 54, Putrajaya (24) and Labuan (4).
This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia to 1,555,093 since the pandemic began.
