THE husband of a British charity worker who died in a tsunami in Tonga is “guilt-ridden” over the tragedy, her family says.

Angela Glover, 50, perished trying to save her dogs after an undersea volcano erupted near the Pacific island on Saturday.

James was blaming himself for not being able to save Angela.

Her brother, Nick Eleini, said he managed to speak to James Glover — who survived the incident — on Monday evening after he found his wife’s body.

Mr Eleini told BBC Breakfast Mr Glover had shelter, food, water and money but was blaming himself for not being able to save Angela.

He said: “It doesn’t matter how many times we tell him he has nothing to reproach himself for.

"He is carrying an incredible burden of guilt at the moment.”
