KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest Holdings Bhd 's subsidiary Atlantic Blue Sdn Bhd has been appointed the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contractor by Kellie Energy Sdn Bhd for the large-scale solar photovoltaic energy generating facility at Mukim Sungai Terap in Kinta, Perak.
It said in a bourse filing that the contract is valued at RM57.2mil and will commence on March 10, 2022.
Kellie Energy,a subsidiary of Taiping Solar Sdn Bhd, had entered into a power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd to contruct and own a solar photovoltaic energy generating facility with a capacity of 15MWac to generate and deliver solar photovoltaic energy to TNB through the latter's Interconnection Facility at SSU RCIA.
"The Board is of the opinion that the execution of the EPCC Contract for the Project is expected to contribute
positively to the net assets and earnings per share of Solarvest and its group of companies for the financial year ending 31 March 2022 and onward until the completion of the Project," said Solarvest.
At 12.30pm, shares in Solarvest were trading five sen or 7.3% higher at 73.5 sen on the back of 6.41 million units traded.
