KUALA LUMPUR: Sungei Bagan Rubber Company Malaya Bhd topped the gainers’ list on Bursa Malaysia in early trade Wednesday.
The plantation group jumped 14.06%, or 45 sen to RM3.65, its highest since February 2018 at 9.15am. It has risen 17.7% so far this year.
The company has not made any corporate announcements recently. Its last announcement on Bursa Malaysia was made on Aug 30, reporting its quarterly results and changes in nomination, risk and audit committee.
It has appointed Chew Khat Khiam, Albert as chairman of risk committee, and Tay Beng Chai as chairman of nomination committee. It also named Wun Mow Sang as chairman of audit committee.
In the fourth quarter ended June 30, Sungei Bagan posted a net profit of RM19.35mil, up 93.2% from RM10.01mil in the same quarter a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter was 22.2% higher at RM7.23mil against RM5.91mil a year earlier.
For the full financial year ended June 30, it posted a net profit of RM44.06mil on revenue of RM18.85mil.
