National Weather Service officials issued a flash flood warning Wednesday after 2 to 5 inches of rain fell in portions of southeast Cook and Will counties which expired at 9:45 a.m.
Officials said isolated showers may hit the area again after 4 p.m., but expect conditions to become sunny with temperatures in the mid 80s during the day.
Southwest winds around 15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph are expected.
Current conditions at O’Hare International Airport are partly cloudy at 80 degrees. At Midway Airport conditions are a few clouds at 81 degrees.
