RUSSELL Brand has been interviewed under caution by cops over “further” alleged historical sex offences.

       Scotland Yard said that a man in his forties, understood to be the comedian and actor, had attended a police station in south London for a second time on Thursday.

       It comes after Brand was previously interviewed under caution last month in relation to three “non-recent” alleged sexual offences.

       Officers say the investigation is ongoing, reports The Times.

       The comic denies rape, assault and emotional abuse from 2006 to 2013 after a joint investigation involving C4’s Dispatches.

       Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said: “We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.”

       He added: “We understand it can feel like a difficult step to take, and I want to reassure that we have a team of specialist officers available to advise and support.”

       Brand has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and insists his relationships were "always consensual".

       Officers from a special police unit for "non-recent" sexual offences after the Jimmy Savile scandal have been working in tandem with Scotland Yard to investigate the allegations, The Times previously reported.

       A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A man in his 40s attended a police station in south London for a second time on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

       “The same man previously attended a police station on Thursday, November 16, 2023, for questioning. Inquiries continue.”
