Prince Harry and Meghan meet Invictus Games competitors

Meghan Markle has hopped on a plane to join her husband Prince Harry at the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany.

She was pictured arriving at LAX airport in California last night to board a flight headed for London's Heathrow. She is then expected to head to Germany.

Harry had flown out to the UK last Thursday to attend the WellChild awards in London. The following day he marked the first anniversary of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's death by visiting her final resting place at St George's Chapel, Windsor.

He then travelled to Dusseldorf for the opening ceremony of the 2023 Invictus Games on Saturday night.

Meghan is understood to have stayed in California to look after Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, and was always due to join Harry mid-way through the competition.

Though there had been reports that she was pulling out of the visit after her name was mysteriously removed from the schedule.

But pictures, obtained by the Daily Mail, showed the Duchess of Sussex arriving at LAX airport shortly before 6pm.

She was wearing all black - baggy high-waisted trousers by Illa Johnson and a loose-fitting J Crew Sweater V-neck jumper - and her long hair was swept back in a low pony tail.

Meghan paired the outfit with white Valentino flats and was accompanied by her bodyguard, who was carrying a suit bag.

The Duchess is due to land in London this morning and she's expected to jump straight on a flight to Dusseldorf this afternoon.

She is jetting out to support her husband ahead of his big speech at the closing ceremony of the Games on Saturday - the day after his 39th birthday.

Meghan is expected to briefly join her husband on stage and address the crowds.

It comes as Harry is pictured grinning as he arrives at day three of the Games.

Harry, who founded the Invictus Games in 2014, has been getting stuck in at this year's events.
