A YEAR One pupil became a hit on TikTok when he was seen wearing an oversized school uniform as his father had bought an “XL” shirt for him, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Putera Jebat Abdul Rashid, who studies in a primary school in Alor Setar, said he had no choice but to wear it to school.
His father worked as a lorry driver.
In the video, a female teacher was seen helping him to adjust the shirt, which went over his knees. The short sleeves almost reached his wrist.
His grandmother Roziah Saad, 78, explained that she had been busy so she could not modify the uniform for the boy.
“His father had earlier bought the uniform that did not fit the boy. So the father went back to the shop to change to a larger size and asked me to modify it properly, but I did not have the time to do so,” she said.
Roziah said Putera Jebat’s mother died two months ago at the age of 40.
Headmistress Wan Zainah Wan Nawawi said the school management would buy a new set of school uniform for Putera Jebat.
“Our school will take care of Putera Jebat and other pupils to ensure their well-being is protected,” she said.
> Actress Jasmine Suraya Chin (pic) said the explicit scenes she acted in the web series Villa Kristal with actor Alvin Wong was purely based on creativity and camera angles, reported Kosmo!Jasmine, 33, who previously acknowledged that she was ready to appear in such scenes, said:
“It is actually very challenging to act in those steamy scenes as it requires proper and detailed camera techniques to make it look realistic.
“It may look intimate, but honestly there was no physical touching aside the touch of our hands,” she explained.
Her character, known as Angel, is a stewardess and a yoga teacher who lived in Villa Kristal.
Jasmine, whose real name is Jasmine Suraya Chin Xian Mei, said she had to think twice before accepting such a daring role.
She added that she also had to act in similar scenes with other actors.
She said Angel was quite a funny, cheerful and loving character.
“She is a carefree girl. I think the message I want to share to others is that you can do whatever you want as long as you don’t hurt others,” she added.
The webseries has received much criticism from religious figures and netizens for its explicit scenes.
