PUTRAJAYA: Putrajaya Bersatu chief Datuk Seri Erwan Mohd Tahir has returned to Umno's fold.
He announced his decision to leave Bersatu on Friday (Oct 1) with immediate effect.
He submitted his application to rejoin Umno to the party's Putrajaya chief Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, according to Utusan online on Friday (Oct 1).
Erwan was quoted as saying that it was the "right time to return" to Umno.
"The party has managed to end political polemics that has threatened the wellbeing of the people and economic stability during the Covid-19 pandemic," he said.
Aside from Erwan, several members of the Putrajaya Bersatu leadership had submitted their membership application to Umno.
Erwan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Umno for accepting their applications to join the party.
