Kuwait delegation engages in UN discussions on cyber security

       KUWAIT CITY, May 11: In a bid to bolster its cyber security capabilities, a delegation from the State of Kuwait participated in discussions at a United Nations round table focused on advancing security technology, communication, and cyber security measures.

       Led by Mohammad Boakri, President of the National Cyber Security Center, the Kuwaiti delegation engaged in high-level meetings aimed at exploring avenues to strengthen cyber security both domestically and internationally. During these discussions, officials from Kuwait deliberated with counterparts from various nations on effective strategies to enhance cyber security and advocated for increased global cooperation in this crucial area.

       Addressing the round table talks held at the UN headquarters, Boakri emphasized the importance of governance and underscored the challenges confronting efforts to fortify cyber security within Kuwait. The discussions provided a platform for sharing insights and best practices to address emerging cyber threats and safeguard critical infrastructure.

       Accompanying Boakri in the Kuwaiti delegation were Mohammad Al-Amiri, Deputy Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs, and Abdullah Al-Qadiri, Director of Information Technology at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their participation demonstrated Kuwait’s commitment to collaborating with the international community to mitigate cyber risks and foster a secure digital environment.
