       KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The Ministry of Interior stated on its twitter that automatic cancellation of residence for Domestic workers (Article 20) if outside Kuwait for 6 months and more residence will automatically expire. The calculation of six months begins from 1st Dec 2021.

       Due to the pandemic crisis 6 months automatic cancellation was stopped due to travel restrictions imposed between various countries. The administration stated that Kuwaiti citizens who wish have domestic workers outside Kuwait for a period of more than 6 months can apply to the administration for the request of the concerned person for permission of his/her domestic worker to continue to be outside Kuwait before the 6 months period expires.
