       KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait organized a day-long “Tourism Exhibition-2024” on Thursday, 07 March, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Al-Shaheed Park (Phase Two), Kuwait City. The Tourism Exhibition was organized as a part of the celebration of Fifty Years (Golden Jubilee) of Bangladesh-Kuwait Diplomatic Ties. Although this is a day-long event, the embassy welcomed the guests at 03:00 pm.

       Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps in Kuwait, high government officials of Kuwait, tour operators both from Bangladesh and Kuwait, members of the Traveler Association of Kuwait, members of the Bangladesh community in Kuwait, and representatives from the print and electronic media were present at the program. The Assistant Undersecretary for the Tourism Sector at the Ministry of Information of Kuwait, Osamah H. Almekhyal, was present as the Chief Guest. The daylong colorful exhibition began with welcoming remarks by the Ambassador of Bangladesh, H.E. Major General (Retd.) Md Ashikuzzaman. In his speech, the ambassador thanked Osamah H. Almekhyal, Assistant Undersecretary for the Tourism Sector at the Ministry of Information, for gracing the occasion as the chief guest. He also expressed his sincere thanks to all the ambassadors and distinguished guests.

       In his speech, the ambassador also focused on the tourism sector of Bangladesh and requested all to visit Bangladesh at their convenience to enjoy the natural beauty and hospitality of Bangladeshi people. During the exhibition, colorful posters & banners, boards with beautiful photographs, audio-visual presentations were displayed and promotional brochures, books, flyers, and handicrafts, etc were distributed to showcase various tourist attractions of Bangladesh.

       An attractive raffle draw for the visitors was organized in the exhibition where air tickets and hotel accommodation were given as prizes of the raffle draw. Note that, fifty years of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Kuwait have been completed very recently and fifty years of the establishment of Bangladesh Mission in Kuwait is forthcoming in April 2024. To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh – Kuwait relations with due fervor and festivity, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait is planning to undertake various programs and events throughout the year 2024. This Tourism Exhibition is organized as a part of this celebration.
