She was responding to Ms Cooper launching a Border Security Command designed to crack down on people-smuggling gangs orchestrating small boat Channel crossings.
But Mrs Braverman insisted the only way to deal with the issue is to pull out of the European Convention on Human Rights and ditch the Human Rights Act.
She said: "More blah, blah, blah. I warned, but prepare to see the UK become an even bigger magnet for illegal arrivals and numbers soar as our borders disintegrate.

It comes as Downing Street admitted the summer will be "challenging" for the new Government as the first migrants to cross the English Channel since Labour's election victory arrived in the UK.
A spokesman for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer told reporters: "We're getting to work straight away because we know that this summer will be challenging."
The Government is "now focused on the work needed to secure our borders and smash the gangs", he added.

So far this year 13,574 migrants have arrived in the UK after crossing the Channel, according to the latest available Home Office figures.
This is already a record for the first six months of a calendar year.
Over the weekend, the PM said the Rwanda plan is "dead and buried" as he confirmed the deportation policy is to be scrapped.
