Ministers hope the Rwanda scheme will deter migrants from crossing the English Channel (Image: Getty)
Migrants have already been approached about taking a £3,000 deal to voluntarily board a flight to Rwanda, the Daily Express understands.
Immigration officials have approached failed asylum seekers over the last “day or two” after a new deal was struck between the UK and Rwanda.

The agreement – separate to the deportation plan - is designed to resolve the crisis of tens of thousands of migrants being stuck in the UK illegally, unable to work or be sent home.
They will be eligible to move to Rwanda under the ‘voluntary returns scheme’ after having their asylum application rejected.
But a Home Office source has confirmed “we’ve started to approach people” about boarding a flight to Kigali. This cohort could receive up to £3,000 in assistance with flights and other associated costs to leave the UK.

Ministers believe the move will ease the housing crisis, by allowing the Home Office to release asylum accommodation, and end the small boats crisis.
This is, in part, because it will indicate to migrants that Rwanda is safe because some asylum seekers are voluntarily choosing to go there.
And it is considered value for money as housing migrants in hotel rooms is costing taxpayers £8 million-per-day.
The Home Office last year rejected 30,967 asylum applications. More than 19,000 foreign nationals opted to leave the UK voluntarily, including 4,010 failed asylum seekers and 15,243 foreign criminals or migrants who had overstayed their visas.
Post Office minister Kevin Hollinrake told Times Radio payments for those voluntarily wanting to relocate to Kigali would amount to a "good use of public money".

He denied the offer would undermine the stalled Rwanda deportation scheme, which is currently in the middle of a parliamentary battle.
Mr Hollinrake said: "£3,000 is a lot of money, but it costs a lot more money than that to keep people in this country who are out here without merit.
"It is about saying to people 'If you come here, you can't stay here if you come here illegally'.
"That is the point. So I don't think anybody would try and come here just to get £3,000 to go to Rwanda."
It is separate from the Conservative Government's plan to deport to the east African country those arriving via small boats in the English Channel.
The Government believes the voluntary scheme can be brought into effect quickly because it will draw on existing structures outlined by the agreement already in place with Rwanda and existing voluntary returns processes, it is understood.

A Home Office spokesman said: "In the last year, 19,000 people were removed voluntarily from the UK and this is an important part of our efforts to tackle illegal migration.
"We are exploring voluntary relocations for those who have no right to be here, to Rwanda, who stand ready to accept people who wish to rebuild their lives and cannot stay in the UK.
"This is in addition to our Safety of Rwanda Bill and Treaty which, when passed, will ensure people who come to the UK illegally are removed to Rwanda."
