A WOMAN has been injured in the grounds of a Kent hospital - triggering a massive police response.

       She was rushed to A&E in Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, after being discovered in the grounds.

       The woman was later transferred to a specialist trauma unit following Monday morning's horror.

       Police remain at the scene but no offences were committed during the incident, Kent cops say.

       The force told The Sun: "Kent Police was called at around 9.10am on Monday 4 September 2023 to assist partners at the scene of an incident outside Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, where a woman had suffered injuries.

       "Officers attended. No offences have been reported."

       An NHS spokesperson told KentOnline: “A patient received care in our Emergency Department and has since been transferred to a specialist trauma unit.

       “All services at the hospital are running as usual.”
