KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 126 cases out of the 5,143 new infections on Monday (Nov 15) were in categories three, four and five, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The Health director-general said 5,017 cases were in categories one and two.
The country reported 5,143 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 2,551,452.
Dr Noor Hisham said a total of 4,551 recoveries were also recorded which brought the cumulative number to 2,455,767.
"A total of 526 cases were treated at intensive care units while 250 cases required ventilator support.
"Three new clusters were also identified which brought the number of active clusters to 250," he said in a statement on Monday.
On the infectivity rate, Dr Noor Hisham said Putrajaya was the highest with an R-nought rate of 1.20 followed by Kuala Lumpur (1.05), Selangor (1.04), Negri Sembilan and Pahang (1.02), and Kelantan (1.01).
"The R-nought rate in Johor was 0.99 followed by Sabah (0.98), Kedah, Melaka and Penang (0.97), Perak (0.95), Terengganu (0.92), and Sarawak(0.86)," he said, adding that Perlis and Labuan were the lowest on the chart with a zero infectivity rate.
