       KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: Renewal of driving license will be available to everyone within a few days online. Currently drivers on Article 20 (Domestic workers) are being renewed online. Those who wish to renew must apply 6 months before the driving license expires and not a month as it used to be.

       The reason to renew six months before expiry is to limit expats driving licenses and to issue to those who meet the conditions and withdraw from those who are not eligible, reports Al Rai. The Traffic Department after linking the data with competent authorities will begin to receive requests for renewal of driving license online in this week or from the beginning of next year latest. Those who do not meet the conditions of their driving license will be automatically canceled.

       Two weeks ago online renewal of driving licenses were stopped for expats, it was only open only for those who are on Article 20 (Domestic workers / house drivers), other professions are being received in the traffic department but there has been a huge rush and backlog.
