PETALING JAYA: While some MySejahtera users are now recovering from the panic-inducing glitch that had issued incorrect home surveillance order notifications to certain individuals, many others are still trying to get the issue solved.
Earlier Sunday (Nov 7) morning, the MySejahtera team issued an apology for a glitch in the app that had put random people under home surveillance for Covid-19.
The bug in the MySejahtera application caused some people to be put under the Covid-19 Home Surveillance Order (HSO) and Person Under Surveillance (PUS) statuses on their mobile phones.
A check by The Star done at around 1pm today found that at least over a couple of dozen people were still facing this problem.
On The Star's social media pages, Malaysians vented their frustrations regarding the situation as the inaccurate PUS and HSO statuses had caused major disturbances to their daily lives.
Pie Zaini, on The Star's Facebook page, said that she had tried reinstalling and updating the app multiple times but the wrong status, which had been there since 8am, was still showing.
Another user, Gary Sang, said that he woke up this morning to find that his status had changed to PUS.
At around noon, his status went back to “low risk". However, five minutes later, it changed to “casual contact”.
On Instagram, @_yijunnn_ said her problem was not fixed yet and enquired about a way to file a complaint.
Another netizen, @sarahdalim replied saying that she had lodged a complaint with the Helpdesk but said that she has been waiting for a reply since this morning.
