ALOR GAJAH: A 54-year-old teacher was killed in an accident while on the way to school at Simpang Tiga Alor Gajah Lama here.

       Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Arshad Abu said the victim, identified as Sakura @ Muna Sakura Muhammad, 54, died from serious head injuries on the spot during the 6.30am incident on Monday (Oct 25).

       He said the victim was on her way to SMK Durian Tunggal when a lorry on the way to Nyalas rammed into the right side of the victim’s car.

       Supt Arshad said the victim was driving out of a junction when the collision occurred.

       "The impact caused the victim's car to be dragged for six metres before coming to a halt," he said, adding that the case would be investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
