PETALING JAYA: The parliamentary constituency of Ayer Hitam and the town of Yong Peng is a strategic location for tourism destinations, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
Speaking as a guest on RTM1's Selamat Pagi Malaysia on Sunday (Feb 20) in a live telecast from the Taman Rekreasi Naga Yong Peng, Dr Wee explained the demography of Ayer Hitam, including the uniqueness of Jawa culture and the Fuchow clan.
Dr Wee also spoke about the oil palm smallholders and the youth programmes organised during the Covid-19 pandemic during the segment, titled "Development in Ayer Hitam."
"My political secretary Ling Tian Sonn will also organise programmes to promote Chinese culture - especially the Hock Chew dialect, Hock Chew mee, Chinese calligraphy art, traditional dance and others," he said in a post on his official Facebook account.
