PETALING JAYA: Police will be investigating the death of a remanded suspect at the Sungai Buloh Prison.

       When contacted Tuesday (June 29), Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal confirmed the matter.

       He added that the state police contingent headquarters will be investigating the matter.

       On Monday (June 28), the man's wife lodged a report on the death at the Gombak police headquarters.

       In a news report, Free Malaysia Today wrote that her lawyer M Manoharan claimed that his death was due to negligence.

       It was also reported that her husband, who had been arrested last year for an alleged murder, died while waiting for a specialist appointment at the Tanjung Karang hospital.
