IPOH: Tapah MIC division deputy chief D. Sivabalan was killed in a crash involving two vehicles at KM53 Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur, near Tapah, early yesterday.

       Tapah district police chief Supt Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said the 12.45am incident was believed to have occurred when Sivabalan, 50, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old man, who was not injured in the accident.

       “The car driven by the victim skidded into a ditch on the right side of the road. The victim died at the scene,” he said in a statement, reported Bernama.
