The Swedish royals beam as they posed with their three children - Prince Alexander, five, Prince Gabriel, three, and Prince Julian, who was born in March. Prince Carl Philip is the son of King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia.

The summery snap shared by the royals shows the family of four sitting on a sofa in their garden.

The post is captioned: “A summer greeting from our family.”

Another photograph featuring Julian shows him with Alexander's thumb in his mouth as both older brothers smile at the youngest.

The palace also shared a photograph of the three young royals together with their father.

Sofia captioned the post: "Life has given me not only one, but four beautiful princes.

“A sincere thank you from us for all the warm congratulations in connection with Julian's arrival."

The latest addition to the family, Julian Herbert Folke, was born on March 26.

The royal baby’s name was inspired by Folke Bernadotte, a Swedish nobleman who negotiated the release of about 31,000 prisoners from German concentration camps in 1945.

The Palace's statement announcing the happy news read: "The Office of the Marshal is pleased to announce that HRH Princess Sofia on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11.19 gave birth to a healthy and prosperous son at Danderyd Hospital.
