QUETTA: The UN refugee agency, in partnership with its private sector collaborator LONGi, has solarised the Bolan Medical Complex (BMC).
The project is expected to save Rs70 million and reduce carbon emissions by 468 tonnes each year.
The clean energy project represents a critical step towards sustainable healthcare, benefiting both Afghan refugees and the local Pakistani community in Balochistan. It will generate approximately 1.16m kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, meeting the entire energy needs of one of Balochistan’s largest hospitals.
