       8 апреля 2022 г. научный сотрудник Центра международной безопасности ИМЭМО РАН Дмитрий Стефанович выступил с докладом об актуальных вопросах космической безопасности в контексте возможного запрета на разрушающие испытания противоспутникового оружия и необходимости предотвращения гонки вооружений в космосе в рамках сессии Второй рабочей группы Комиссии ООН по разоружению.

       "Ban on destructive testing of counterspace capabilities, as well as a ban on attacks against critical space-based infrastructure, especially the one connected to the nuclear command, control and communications, can be a very important contribution to international peace and security, and to the strategic stability between nuclear superpowers. However, as said earlier, it is hard to achieve something like that immediately, and it should not be an end in itself. We need an understanding of threat perceptions that lead to development of such capabilities and attack scenarios in the first place."
