A MAN has been charged with rape after a woman was attacked in Soho during the early hours.

       Michael Lawson, 55, of no fixed abode, has been charged in connection with the alleged attack in the London neighbourhood on Saturday June 17.

       He was arrested this Friday following a Met Police investigation.

       Lawson will appear in custody at Croydon Magistates today.

       The woman is being supported by specialist officers.
