       KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has initiated the process of notifying its employees who have not yet uploaded copies of their academic qualifications for post-secondary certificates obtained after the year 2000, reports Al-Jarida daily. They are being reminded of the necessity to upload these certificates on the Ministry’s website.

       Those who fail to comply with this requirement within a week will face appropriate measures, as warned by the Ministry. Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that teachers are strictly prohibited from photographing students’ answer sheets or sharing them on social media platforms.

       Violating these instructions will subject the offender to disciplinary action in accordance with Article 25 of Decree 15 of 1979. Muhammad Al-Adwani, the Acting Undersecretary for Legal Affairs, addressed a letter to the Acting Undersecretary of Public Education, Hessa Al-Mutawa, highlighting instances where teachers photographed answer sheets during exams and shared them on social media platforms, leading to ridicule.

       Al-Adwani stressed that such actions constitute a violation of the Civil Service Law, which prohibits employees from disclosing confidential work-related information. Therefore, any teacher found photographing and sharing students’ answer sheets will be held accountable administratively and face disciplinary action.

       In response to concerns raised by Al- Mutawa, a legal opinion was sought regarding the practice of photographing answer sheets.The Ministry aims to issue a circular prohibiting this practice to preserve the integrity and privacy of students during exams. Penalties for violations will be outlined in the circular to deter such actions and maintain the confidentiality of exams.
