JOHOR BARU: Johor has recorded a cumulative of 105 active and new Covid-19 clusters with the majority of cases related to industrial sectors.
State health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan said that until Wednesday (June 30), about 70% of active clusters were recorded from industrial sectors.
“This is followed by community clusters at 13%, institutions (8%), markets (5%), and one cluster each involving detention and imported cases.
“Of the 299 new cases reported in the state on June 30, 124 cases or 41% of those are from active and new clusters here,” he said in a statement on Thursday (July 1).
Meanwhile, Vidyananthan said some 531,852 individuals in Johor have received their vaccine doses since the Covid-19 vaccination programme kicked off on March 1.
He added that until Wednesday, a total of 365,351 individuals received their first doses while 166,501 individuals completed their second doses.
