PETALING JAYA: Malaysia administered 469,690 doses of Covid-19 vaccines on Saturday (Aug 21), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
In a series of tweets on Sunday (Aug 22), JKJAV said 159,792 people received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 309,898 individuals received their second dose.
Johor administered the most first doses with 33,187 jabs, followed by Sabah (18,224) and Kuala Lumpur (17,482).
For second doses, Selangor led the way with 96,884 jabs, followed by Kuala Lumpur (55,706) and Johor (31,456).
JKJAV said since the start of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, a total of 30,840,093 Covid-19 vaccine doses had been administered in the country.
It added that so far, 77.4% of the adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 54.3% of the adult population had received both doses and were fully vaccinated.
In terms of the total Malaysian population, 55.5% have received one dose and 38.9% have received two doses.
