PETALING JAYA: A total of 446,052 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Wednesday (July 21), says the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

       This is the second highest number of doses administered in a day, after 460,123 doses were given out on July 15.

       In a tweet on Thursday (July 22), JKJAV said that 282,980 individuals had received their first doses while 163,072 others received their second dose.

       To date, this brings the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country to 15,517,866.

       JKJAV also said that as of 11.59pm on Wednesday, 10,584,885 people or 45.2% of the adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

       A total of 4,932,981 individuals have completed both doses of the Covid-19 vaccines, which represents 21.1% of the country’s adult population.
