KUALA LUMPUR: Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) affected by the recent floods are urged to take advantage of the SME Emergency Fund 2.0 (SMEEF 2.0) to help revive their business.

Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar said SMEEF 2.0 provided an interest-free loan of RM100,000 with a repayment period of up to five years and a 12-month moratorium involving a total allocation of RM100mil.

"We know that RM100,000 is not enough, but the government wants to help ease the burden of entrepreneurs,” he told a press conference after launching the SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp) Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP), here on Tuesday (March 29).

Meanwhile, Noh said he had instructed SME Corp to facilitate the SMEEF 2.0 application process for entrepreneurs who had met all the conditions set as part of efforts to revive the country’s SME industry.

On the SME Corp OACP, Noh said it was aimed at addressing the weaknesses in governance, integrity and anti-corruption efforts in an organisation. - Bernama
