The monarch reportedly starts her day with a cup of Earl Grey tea, without milk or sugar, alongside some biscuits. She later enjoys her main breakfast in her dining room in Buckingham Palace.

Her normal breakfast includes cereal, yoghurt, toast and marmalade, according to House and Garden.

The 95-year-old also occasionally enjoys fish for her first meal of the day, as revealed in Dinner at Buckingham Palace, a book written by royal insider Charles Oliver.

Mr Oliver wrote that the Queen "has been partial to kippers since the war years".

The monarch's granddaughter-in-law Kate Middleton reportedly enjoys a more traditional breakfast with her healthy twist.

The Duchess of Cambridge is said to start her day with a bowl of oatmeal and a nutrient-rich smoothie.

Her smoothie recipe includes blending a combination of kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine, cilantro and blueberries together, according to the Mail Online.

"Her morning ritual started with a cup of hot water and a slice of lemon, followed by her favourite breakfast of steel-cut oats (usually made with almond or soy milk) with bananas and agave syrup for sweetness,” Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand wrote in royal biography Finding Freedom.

She also reportedly enjoys an omelette with cheese, fresh herbs and a side of toast on occasion.

Healthy food is a common trait in royal breakfasts as the Countess of Wessex sticks to a strict balanced diet, according to Author Lily Simpson.

“A diet of plant-based foods and lean protein has had a huge impact on the appearance of skin, as does keeping well hydrated and getting proper sleep,” she told the Daily Mail.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is a huge fan of scrambled eggs and she even keeps chickens in her Highgrove Home.
