GEORGE TOWN: Four men who allegedly pretended to be policemen and committed gang robbery have been arrested by police.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Pulau Tikus arrested the suspects, who are from Tanjung Tokong and Pulau Tikus, on Tuesday (Aug 24).
All four tested positive for drugs, a statement on the North-East District police headquarters' Facebook page said.
The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for gang robbery and Section 170 of the Penal Code for posing as a civil servant, as well as Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
All suspects will be remanded to facilitate investigations, the statement read.
