PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has identified 45 more Covid-19 clusters, including 30 workplace-related outbreaks.
In its daily Covid-19 press updates, the ministry reported there are now 1,281 active clusters nationwide.
At least 1,104 cases are linked to the 30 workplace clusters.
Of the 30 workplace clusters, 14 are outbreaks at factories while six are at construction sites.
One is an outbreak at a factory in Bukit Sentosa, Hulu Selangor where there are 97 confirmed cases.
The cluster was detected from a targeted screening exercise involving some 151 workers of the factory at Jalan Telipot Empat.
Another 11 new clusters are community-based outbreaks with at least 251 confirmed cases.
This includes an outbreak found at Kampung Hilir Bungey in Debak, Sarawak which stemmed from a wedding.
This is the second time the village is the site of a Covid-19 infection cluster.
The index case is a 26-year-old woman who tested positive on August 12. She had been having symptoms since August 7.
At least 86 individuals have been screened under the cluster, with 28 testing positive so far.
Two other clusters have been classified by the ministry as high-risk group clusters.
One of them is an outbreak at a medical centre in Kota Baru, Kelantan where there are 18 confirmed cases.
Another is an outbreak found at a nursing home in Teluk Intan, Perak where there are 18 cases.
There are also two education sector clusters, including an outbreak detected at a university in Bandar Sunsuria in Sepang, Selangor.
So far, the cluster has 17 confirmed cases.
The cluster was detected from a targeted screening exercise involving more than 400 students and staff of the university.
