KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a soldier who allegedly sexually harassed a cashier at a vape shop in Ampang.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak, in a statement, said that the man was arrested at 12.30am Thursday (Oct 7).
"The 26-year-old man was arrested at a house in Taman Setiawangsa.
"The suspect, an army man, is currently stationed at the Batu Kentonmen camp and has been serving for the last seven years.
"The police also seized the uniform used during the incident," he said.
On Oct 5, the suspect allegedly sexually harassed a cashier at a shop in Taman Keramat.
The incident, caught on camera, showed the suspect grabbing the cashier's hand as she was handing him a vape device.
She can then be seen struggling to release her hand as the suspect leaned in, while simultaneously licking her fingers and blowing smoke towards her.
