ALOR STAR: Two babies escaped unhurt while their mothers and three Health Ministry employees were lightly injured after the ambulance they were in collided with a car at Kulim Hi-Tech Park here.

       Kedah Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain said a distress call was received at 10.53am on Wednesday (June 23) informing them about the incident.

       "A team of six firefighters from Kulim Hi-Tech fire station arrived at the scene," he said.

       Mohamadul said the ambulance from Padang Kulim health clinic and the car had collided at a junction.

       The babies were found unhurt while their mothers and the Health Ministry team in the ambulance had minor injuries, he added.

       The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was also slightly injured.

       "They were all sent to Kulim Hospital for observation and treatment," Mohamadul added.
